Eating Right!
1. Indulge in the season
when fresh fruit and vegetables are in season- INDULGE!!!!
2. Be smart in the Off Season
Apples and Bananas tend to stay relatively low- priced all year. as do Oranges!
3. Prepare for a rainy Day
Frozen and canned fruits and vegetables are wonderful during the winter.
4. Buy Frozen-cheap
frozen is generally cheaper than fresh so buy when the season allow better price.
5. Buy in Bulk
warehouse stores can be overwhelming, so know what your family eats and stock up.
6. Make Bread
Nothing beats homemade fresh bread.
7. Clip coupons
use coupons and remember coupons used on stuff you buy is a bargain but not on things you don't normally buy.
8. Go dried
Nothing locks in the fresh flavor than dried fruits, & vegetables.
9. Use less expensive protein
red meat isn't the only protein, eggs, beans. same goes for cottage cheese and yogurts
10. Increased convenience = Increased cost
such as skinless boneless chicken and chopped broccoli
save money and do it yourself.
Keep yourself and your family healthy needs to be a priority. With little effort, you can make it happen even on a budget.
