I work at a small store and see lots of the same people on an every day basis. A few mentioned, that they started this Keto diet and at times, they tell me they have had a hard time with it. At the beginning wanting to eat the wrong things but stuck with their journey on the Keto diet. After hearing their successes of loosing 8, 41 to 89 lbs. I’m like wow there really is something to this diet. My boss started this diet and when I asked her about it, she gave me a sheet of all the foods they can eat. Seems helpful enough but how do you know all the carbs you take in? Well look at a the nutritional facts label on packages to check on carbs and sugar. Keeping carbs at 20 g a day can be tricky.
You are needing to fuel your body with foods that burn the fat not the sugars you consume. Makes since. I really don’t have a sweet tooth this could work. So first shopping before getting serious about this diet I went to the Nature groceriers and bought Erythritol and Coconut powder.
I’ve read more. How do you start? A good question. Very slowly don’t change your whole diet over night or you will get the Keto flu! Keto flu? What’s that?
The Keto flu is caused by your body’s transition from burning sugar to burning fat for most of its energy needs. Switching from a high-carb diet to a very low-carb diet lowers insulin levels in your body. However losing a lot of water and sodium is responsible for many of the unpleasant symptoms of Keto flu.
Chain 18 two to turn
Row 1 double crochet in each 16 end DC 5 in same hole repeat down other side. Slip stitch together (42 stitches)
Row 2 chain 2 and DC in each 16 two DC 2 in each on end (5) repeat down other side. Slip stitch together. (52 stitches)
Row 3 chain 4 and skip stitch to fasten. Continue (looks like loops around it) do 10 on end I do the same thing but in the next stitch so 5 of them are close together. Continue down other side. (should have 30 loops)
Row 4 slip stich into loop and chain 2 and double crochet back in to that loop. So two double crochet in each loop. (should have ten with double crochet in each) On ends do three DC in each loop (8 total this way) go down other side and repeat 2 DC in each and 3 DC in last eight. (48 stitches)
Row 5 chain 2 and double crochet in each stitch all the way around. (48 stitches) slip stitch to connect
Row 6 chain 4 and skip a stitch and connect. (making loops again) make sure you end with 40 loops
Row 7 slip stitch into next loop and chain two Dc back into that loop so there are 2 DC in each loop (10) this way and three DC on end loops (10 this way) repeat down other side two DC in each 10 and end 3 DC in end loops (100 stitches)
Row 8 Chain 2 DC in each stitch all the way around. (100 stitches)
Row 9 We are doing the loops skipping one stitch around the whole thing. (50 loops)
Row 10 We are doing two DC in the first 11 loops and 3 DC in the end 14 loops repeat (126 stitches)
Row 11 DC all the way around it (126 stitches)
Row 12 Do the loops again all the way around it (64 loops)
Row 13 2 DC in each loop (14) 3 DC in each loop on ends (18) repeat total stitches this round (164 stitches)
Row 14 Edging chain 3 go back into same stitch and then slip stitch into next stitch and slip stitch into next stitch chain 3 slip stitch into same stitch and then slipstitch into next 2 stitches. So little nobby things are all around it. Hope you understand. I created this one and try my best to explain it. 3. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
4. To assemble, spread 1 1/2 cups of meat sauce in the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish. Arrange 6 noodles lengthwise over meat sauce. Spread with one half of the ricotta cheese mixture. Top with a third of mozzarella cheese slices. Spoon 1 1/2 cups meat sauce over mozzarella, and sprinkle with 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese. Repeat layers, and top with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. Cover with foil: to prevent sticking, either spray foil with cooking spray, or make sure the foil does not touch the cheese.
5. Bake in preheated oven for 25 minutes. Remove foil, and bake an additional 25 minutes. Cool for 15 minutes before serving. So I looked up something unique that I could make and came across T-shirts That read: I Rock, I Roll! The smallest they had were 2t. So I bought some white onsies and traced the logo I wanted each shirt to have. And stitched the lettering and guitars on each one. I think they turned out great!Homemade by Lisahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15910671155827362918noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4963382686605701703.post-37342177352092210042013-01-13T18:01:00.001-08:002013-01-13T18:06:16.857-08:00Crocheted Scrubbies
These are so easy to make I have made a dozen or so.
Crochet 20 stitches by 21 rows.
Use size H crochet hook
Sugar & Cream cotton (one ball of this makes three)
about 3 & 1/2 across if you squish it flat!
Crochet in the back loop through out to create the ridge.
Row 1:
(leaving a length of yarn long enough to weave
through & gather one edge and tie off.)
chain 21: 2 single crochet in second chain from hook,
crochet one single crochet in each chain across
to last 2 chains; crochet the last 2 chains together
chain 1 and turn (20 stitches)
Row 2:
single crochet first 2 stitches together,
crochet one single crochet in each stitch across to last stitch, 2 single crochet in last stitch
chain 1 and turn (20 stitches)
Row 3:
2 single crochet in first stitch,
crochet one single crochet in each stitch across to last 2 stitches, single crochet last 2 stitches together chain1 and turn (20 stitches).
Repeat rows 2 &3 for a total of 21 rows.
Cut yarn leaving this second end long enough to weave through & gather one edge then tie off.
Slip stitch beginning row and ending row together.
Using the end of yarn weave each end in and out of the ends of the rows of the edge it is attached to. Pull them tight.
Now pull one yarn end through the scrubbie and tie in a tight knot.
Pull both ends back through to the other side and knot again.
I simply pull the end to the inside of the scrubbie and back out, making sure to leave a length of
tail on the inside I cut.

Ok I saw this on line and thought how cool is that! So I gave it a try. My first attempt at frying marbles and making it into a necklace by wrapping itr in wire to look like messy bird cage wire. Haha It was fun though. take a look.Homemade by Lisahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15910671155827362918noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4963382686605701703.post-16552087450243459672012-11-11T14:35:00.000-08:002012-11-11T14:35:14.225-08:00Pumpkin-banana-coconut with brown butter glaze.

Here is some of the stuff I entered in the fair this year. First time making the Chevron baby blanket. I got red ribbon on it and really wish they wrote something to work on here. My ends were tucked in. No knots and was successful in pulling it all together with the edge to look like a perfect square. I'm not giving up on this style I thought it turned out beautiful and is perfect for that baby boy!

I Love that green hat and made that this last winter, it was my favorite but was saving it for the fair. Now I ccan wear it. The black cat is a remote holder. (A.K.A. T.V. Jake pattern found on line) Baby booties that look like al.l star shoes, Hello Kitty for my neighbors daughter. Raspberry Jalapeno Jam first time making that yum! Dishcloth with very loopy thread. Small round scrubbie and a crocheted edge for minnie mouse blanket.
